Happy Labor Day! The holiday is typically associated with a long weekend – although it’s not always three full days off – since Labor Day is always celebrated on a Monday. This year, there will be one big sale that takes place on September 3rd instead of August 31st. Here’s our guide to finding great deals at various stores open on Labor Day. With this list you’ll be able to make the most of your extra time by knowing where to go.
1) Discounts from stores like Walmart and Home Depot will end this coming Sunday night. So make sure you get online before midnight if you want those final savings!
2) Apple is also holding their own shopping event starting Saturday evening through Labor Day evening where they’ll offer gift cards worth up to $100 with purchases of certain products.
3) You might want to go see a movie this weekend as well, because theater chains like AMC, Regal Cinemas, and Carmike Cinemas all plan on being open all week long including holidays such as Memorial Day, Fourth of July (Independence Day), Thanksgiving (Canadian Thanksgiving), Christmas Eve or Christmas day.
4) And then there are even more fun ways to spend your free time on the first official day of fall. Go roller skating with friends, take a walk in nature, or read a book at home by yourself.
5) If you can’t find anything interesting to do – don’t worry! Next month is October which means Halloween celebrations, Thanksgiving (U.S.), Hanukkah and more will be right around the corner too.
