If you’re looking for something a little cheaper, the LG CX is also a great option. It’s not quite as good as the Sony A8H in terms of overall picture quality,
but it’s still excellent and significantly cheaper. Another excellent choice for those on a budget is the Hisense H9E. Like the LG CX, it has its drawbacks – namely poor sound quality and sluggish Smart TV features – but offers up superb value for money thanks to its low price tag.
For those who want their hands on one of the very best LCD TVs around, take a look at Samsung’s Q80R or Panasonic’s TX-55FZ802B. They may be more expensive than some of our other choices, but they offer incredible levels of detail and clarity that make them worth every penny.
Sony XBR-X900F Series
The Sony XBR-X900F series is one of the best LED TVs on the market. It’s not quite as good as the top-of-the-line models from Samsung and LG, but it’s a great value. The picture quality is excellent, with deep black levels and accurate colors. The X900F also has very good video processing, low input lag, and great motion handling.

You’ll be paying a bit more than the Samsung QLED TV though.
Samsung QLED Series
The best budget OLED TV we’ve tested is the LG CX. It’s a great all-rounder that does everything well, with excellent picture quality, great gaming performance, and low input lag. It also has a wide viewing angle and can get bright enough to fight glare in a bright room. If you want an even better picture quality, the Sony A8H is our top pick.
It doesn’t have quite as wide of a viewing angle as the LG, but it has better HDR performance and handles motion much more smoothly than most other models on this list. And if you’re looking for a really large screen, the 75-inch model offers a stunning image at 4K resolution. For those who are more interested in checking out what Samsung’s QLED technology has to offer, the new Q9FN offers some significant improvements over last year’s Q7FN. Like its predecessor,
it still lacks support for Dolby Vision (or any other HDR format), but it manages colors much better and has less blooming from local dimming zones. There are plenty of good OLED TVs available these days–but if money is no object or you need something bigger than 65 inches then these are your best options.

The best budget OLED TV we’ve tested is the Sony A8H. It’s a great TV for most uses, with excellent picture quality that rivals more expensive models. It has outstanding HDR performance, thanks to its wide color gamut and great peak brightness, and it can display a wide range of colors. It’s also a very good gaming TV thanks to its low input lag.
If you’re looking for an OLED TV with even better picture quality, the LG CX is the best one we’ve tested. It has an even wider color gamut and slightly higher peak brightness than the Sony A8H, resulting in even better HDR performance. It also has great video processing capabilities, so it can upconvert lower-resolution content exceptionally well. Unfortunately, it’s not as bright as other models at high levels of backlight, which means blacks aren’t quite as deep.
If your budget doesn’t stretch this far and you don’t care about having the absolute best image quality possible, we recommend the Samsung Q60R QLED TV or Vizio P65-F1 Quantum P-Series 2018.
The Samsung Q60R offers decent HDR performance but excels at displaying bright images – making this model perfect if you like watching sports or playing games on your TV. The Vizio P65-F1 Quantum is another great option if you want something cheaper but still want access to some advanced features like local dimming zones.
